German Shepherds
The German Shepherd Dog is one of the most popular and recognizable breeds in the world. They are distinguished for loyalty, courage, and the ability to assimilate and retain training for a number of special services; he is not as ferocious, as his reputation makes him out to be, but a bold and punishing defender if need be. They are utilized often as police dogs, service dogs, agility dogs, conformation animals, obedience dogs, and sentinels. Their high trainability, extreme loyalty and commitment make them an excellent choice for any agenda or family. The German Shepherd Dog does not give affection lightly and is known for his dignity and stature; it is also known for its tendency to display serious loyalty and fidelity, especially to its owner or main caretaker.
The breed has a distinct personality marked by direct and fearless, but not hostile, expression, self-confidence and a certain aloofness that does not lend itself to immediate and indiscriminate friendships. The dog should be approachable, quietly standing its ground and showing confidence and willingness to meet overtures without itself making them. It is poised, but when the occasion demands, eager and alert; both fit and willing to serve in its capacity as companion, watchdog, blind leader, herding dog, or guardian, whichever the circumstances may demand. The ideal dog is a working animal with an incorruptible character combined with body and gait suitable for the arduous work that constitutes its primary purpose.
Due to the extreme popularity of the German Shepherd, there are countless bad specimens of this breed available. In our opinion, there is nothing better than a well-bred, quality German Shepherd and nothing worse or more potentially dangerous than a poorly-bred one. We have bred 9 generations of these superb animals and have tried diligently to produce dogs that are as phenomenal as this breed was meant to be.
We breed German Shepherds who adhere to the AKC standards for the breed. We frequently combine American conformation show lines with German VA rated schutzhund dogs. We have been very happy with the results. Our personal dogs have always shown unconditional love and loyalty toward our children and would have gladly given their lives protecting them. This is what all well-bred German Shepherds should instinctively do for their families.
