Smooth Fox Terrier Puppies

  • The Smooth Fox Terrier originated in the British Isles during the 17th century, initially bred by farmers to help eradicate vermin. With its keen nose, remarkable eyesight, and impressive stamina, the breed was adept at driving foxes and other quarry from their underground dens. Although they are less commonly used for hunting today, Smooth Fox Terriers have retained their drive and determination.

    This breed is known for its active, friendly, and playful nature. Smooth Fox Terriers are highly trainable and excel in agility and obedience events. They are lively and energetic, with a balance of speed, endurance, and power. Originally developed to stand like a finely crafted hunter and then gallop after the fox, Smooth Fox Terriers now excel in earth dog trials and are beloved for their clownish behavior. They are excellent with children and have a particular love for chasing bouncing rubber balls.

    Smooth Fox Terriers remain one of the best-kept secrets in the dog world, making superb family pets. Their medium size and robust health—thanks to careful breeding—make them an ideal fit for various lifestyles, with many living well beyond 16 years.
